Shamanism is an ancient spiritual practice that has been around for thousands of years. It involves connecting with the spirit world and using various techniques to heal people, animals, and the environment. One of the key aspects of shamanism is asking four important questions, which are meant to help individuals reconnect with their spiritual selves and rediscover the joy and enchantment that can be found in life.

The first question that shamans ask is, "When did you stop dancing?" This question is meant to encourage individuals to explore their relationship with movement and the body. Dancing is a natural expression of the human spirit and is an important way to connect with the body and the world around us. When we dance freely without judgement and awareness of what others think, we let go of our inhibitions and allow ourselves to be fully present in the moment. Unfortunately, many people stop dancing as they grow older, often due to cultural and societal pressures that suggest that dancing is only appropriate for certain situations. This can lead to a disconnection from the body and a lack of joy and spontaneity in life.

The second question that shamans ask is, "When did you stop singing?" Singing is another natural expression of the human spirit and is an important way to connect with the world around us. Singing can be a form of prayer, meditation, or celebration, and it can help us to express our emotions and connect with others. This can lead to a disconnection from the voice and a lack of joy and creativity in life. It affects the throat chakra which is an expression in terms of one's voice and creativity.

The third question that shamans ask is, "When did you stop feeling enchanted by stories?" Stories are an important part of human culture and are used to transmit knowledge, wisdom, and values from one generation to another. They can be entertaining, inspiring, and educational, and they can help us to connect with our own experiences and the experiences of others. Unfortunately, many people stop engaging with stories as they grow older, often due to cultural and societal pressures that suggest that stories are only appropriate for children or for certain situations. This can lead to a disconnection from the imagination and a lack of wonder and curiosity in life.

The fourth question that shamans ask is, "When did you become uncomfortable with silence?" Silence is an important aspect of spiritual practice and is used in many different ways, such as meditation, prayer, and contemplation. It can help us to connect with our inner selves and the world around us, and it can provide a space for healing and reflection. Unfortunately, many people become uncomfortable with silence as they grow older, often due to cultural and societal pressures that suggest that silence is awkward or uncomfortable. This can lead to a disconnection from the inner self, connection to the higher self and a lack of peace and tranquility in life.

The four questions that shamans ask are meant to help individuals reconnect with their spiritual selves and rediscover the joy and enchantment that can be found in life. By exploring our relationship with movement, voice, imagination, and silence, we can begin to cultivate a deeper sense of connection with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Also, by starting to engagein these actions again, it reduces self judgement and encourages self acceptance. These questions remind us that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that we can find beauty and meaning in every moment if we are open to it. These four questions can trigger the self healing process.
